Professor Zhang Tie Zhong of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine is the head of the Geriatric Department at the Sino Japanese Friendship Hospital in Beijing. He was nominated in the fourth selection of Chinese Nationally renowned Chinese medicine practitioners. He has over 40 years of clinical experience and specialises in the treatment of geriatric diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, stroke, and coronary and renal disease. Under the auspices of the Chinese Medicine Health Administration he embarked on research of TCM anti-atherosclerosis in an endeavour to seek better Chinese medicine treatment for patients suffering from hyperlipidemia, hypertension and arteriosclerosis. He is the recipient of numerous awards for his research work.
