During Professor Liu’s clinical years as a Jing Fang practitioner, he published many books on his clinical applications of Jing Fang based on years of road-tested experience. Of the selected 171 case studies of Professor Liu, apart from many familiar Jing Fang formulas from Shang Han Lun and Jing Gui Yao Lue, there are many Shi Fang formulas being used either independently or as a combined formula with the Jing Fang. Professor Liu emphasized the significance association between the formula and the relevant pattern basically constitutes the core theory of Shang Han Lun.
