2017 Pearls Consultation Services

As an additional contribution of the Pearl’s Seminar educational  series, a new consultation service offered by Pearls commencing  from beginning of 2017 is to provide consultative services for cancer management , diabetes and chronic nephritis by a panel of renowned specialists from Beijing. This service will involve a three-party collaboration of the professor,  myself and the practitioner in the management of the many difficult-to-treat diseases such as cancer, diabetes and chronic nephritis and renal insufficiency. Dr. Greta Young of Pearls of Wisdom Chinese Medicine  is happy to act as the conduit between any CM practitioners and the consulting professor from China by communicating with the practitioner to reach an initial diagnosis for the patients. Following that, Greta will submit the case history to, and discuss with the relevant professor  who would perform further diagnostic analysis and then prescribe the herbal formula.

Professor Li Zhong of Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing

Professor Li Zhong

Professor Li Zhong 李忠 is a renowned TCM oncologist in the Oncology Department of the Beijing Dongzhimen Hospital. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Professional Committee of China Gerontological Society of Tumour in Beijing. He dedicated his life long study and research in the treatment of many cancer diseases and is conversant with the most up to date development of cancer treatment in western medicine and TCM theory. He sees many cancer patients daily using Chinese medicine to treat many different types of cancers and particularly specializes in lung cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, malignant lymph cancer and leukemia. He was the first person to advocate that cancer is merely a “State 状态 ” meaning that cancer is the result of a loss of balance between the human’s zang fu organs and the natural environment. He emphasizes that based on the development and stage of the cancer, there should be a corresponding strategy to address the disorder, thereby establishing a new concept and strategy in the TCM treatment of cancers. The clinical success of his approach constitutes a breakthrough from the conventional treatment method of cancer.

Professor Peng Jian Zhong of Guo Yi Tang, Beijing

Professor Peng Jian Zhong 彭建中教授 of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine has over 40 years of clinical experience in the management of acute and chronic kidney disease as as well as specialising in the treatment of many difficult-to-treat diseases by applying his in-depth knowledge of Chinese medicine classic theory (Shang Han Lun and Wen Bing Xue). He is the academic successor of the renowned Wen Bing specialist Professor Zhao Shao Qin who was a specialist in the treatment of chronic nephritis, Nephrotic syndrome and other kidney diseases such as renal failure and uremia.

Professor Ni Qing of Guang Anmen Hospital, Beijing

Professor Ni Qing is the head of the Endocrine Department at the Guangan Men Hospital in Beijing specializing in the treatment of diabetes and related diabetic complications. Professor Ni’s  approach in the management of diabetes is to adopt the traditional Chinese medicine theory of pattern identification in the diagnosis of diabetes and subsequent treatment strategy. He advocates the unique approach by regulating yin and yang to reverse the impaired  glucose tolerance of diabetic patients thus preventing the early onset of diabetic microvascular disease.    His other clinical forte is to treat hyper and hypothyroidism, thyroiditis, hyeruricemia and gout. He is currently the Executive Director of the National Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital . Professor Ni studied under the renowned diabetes specialist Professor Lin Lan and inherited the academic philosophy and clinical approach of Professor Lin.
